Taking a Step Back
I remember being called “Mother Nature” from my early teens so it’s no wonder that I have, at various stages of my life, learned different skills that take us back in time and closer to nature. The current climate has presented the right opportunity to share those skills, and I’m happy to share them with you.
The Story
I was born in Africa and spent almost 50 years there, before moving to the UK. While living in a little town in South Africa I saw an advert for a job lot of spinning and weaving equipment, which I promptly bought, not knowing how to use any of it, but knowing it would put me one step closer to that life of self sufficiency I had been craving. It was only after I moved to Yorkshire that I was able to put this equipment to good use, and started my foray into the wonderful world of fibre.
If I can pass on just a little of the knowledge, satisfaction, and tranquility that comes from creating your own yarns and works of art, I will be happy. And I hope you will be happy, too.
